@ElwoodBlues
i wasnt talking about protection for children but it figures youd assume that.
The outgoing Biden Administration has quietly extended a pandemic-era measure that protects Covid vaccine makers from being sued for injuries or deaths. What dont you understand?
chemo isnt mandated etc & who says Ill use it?
your comparison to boats & planes is flawed as its NOT about their abilities after development but their development process thats in question.
Covid-19 vaccine injuries aren’t currently covered by the VICP.
As of November 2024, over 13,000 claims for measures for treating Covid-19 have been filed, 10,000 of which were marked as in or awaiting review.
The 2017 Thrower Symposium focused on how law addresses serious global public health challenges. The World Health Organization (WHO) and other national health bodies strongly recommend vaccines in many circumstances. Yet there is a scientific consensus that vaccines can and do cause harm and death in certain individuals, even when vaccines are properly manufactured and appropriately administered.
The Secretary is issuing this Declaration pursuant to section 319F-3 of the Public Health Service Act to provide liability immunity for activities related to medical countermeasures against COVID-19. The Declaration was effective as of February 4, 2020.

@ElwoodBlues
you mentioned chemo
Is chemo the first choice in treatment ?
chemotherapy is not used to treat all types of cancer

@pdockal I see you still avoid providing links or references for your claims. What's that about??
You got misled by the name. Reagan's National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 applies to ALL AGES. Try again.
ALL treatments have risks. AVOIDING treatment also has risks. The public health question is: what lowers the risk for the population as a whole?
AND, as I pointed out, the vaccines underwent phase 3 double blind testing trials, with 30,000 volunteers for Moderna, and 45,000 for Pfizer (links to trials upon request). This is the same kind of rigorous testing all drugs and treatments receive, and have since the 1960s.
BTW, that's a MINISCULE total, given that over 700 million doses have been administered in the US, and given the ease of filing nuisance lawsuits.

BioNTech ... is facing its first lawsuit in Germany
That particular tidbit is about 3 years old. How did that suit turn out? you mentioned chemo
As an example. ALL treatments have risks. AVOIDING treatment also has risks. The public health question is: what lowers the risk for the population as a whole?

DEAD WRONG. I was comparing old fashioned development processes to modern a development process. The modern process gets us to a testable vaccine far far faster. Kinda gives the lie to your claim that it's impossible to sue over the vaccines, doesn't it??BTW, that's a MINISCULE total, given that over 700 million doses have been administered in the US, and given the ease of filing nuisance lawsuits.
Yet there is a scientific consensus that vaccines can and do cause harm and death in certain individuals,
There is ALSO a scientific consensus that diseases - such as measles, mumps, rubella, diptheria, tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, and Covid - have a far far higher likelihood of causing harm and death than the vaccines. The public health implication is clear.

If it surfaces like it has in the past it ain't like covid. We had had a couple of outbreaks where the fatality rate was 50% . That happens again and people will be fighting over the vax.
