That's messed up, but how does that make them a scammer?

@NerdyPotato most of the time, these people end up, asking you to send them money. This one was pumping me hard for personal information. Where do I live, what city, what Are my kids names. Trying to find ways to get my email address, and my phone number. No no no. Identity theft is a real thing. I got a message today from Google and from Twitter, someone was trying to hack both accounts today simultaneously. Had to stop and immediately make some changes. It doesn’t take much to find a little bit about someone and then research the dark web for more information.
@bert199 that's a scam indeed. Maybe you should have posted about that instead of using someone else's photo because that's a much bigger problem. I hope you also reported her for that.

In my experience this isn't what happens "most of the time". Any I saw around were just looking for some sexual interaction. (Although maybe that would have lead to blackmail if someone fell for it deeply enough. I never got that far, so I don't know about that.)
