I once had an infected elbow bursa sack and after draining what looked like a pint of gook I had to wear a tight pressure sleeve for months. The first weeks were absolutely miserable, like I couldn’t think of anything else but the tight pressure on my elbow and arm. If it wasn’t for the memory of the pain with the baseball size elbow I would have ripped off the pressure sleeve and thrown it in the trash. But, at about the 2 week point it was like my arm and elbow figured out on its own how to surrender to the pressure and relaxed, and the pressure sleeve was suddenly unnoticeable, and remaind so for the next 3 months. From the comments here, an ankle monitor would seem to have the same issues as a pressure sleeve. On an arm or lower leg. Also, would a pressure sleeve in addition to an ankle monitor distribute the pressure so it’s not focused on one point ?
