Do you think any of what Bout was doing stopped because he went to jail? They may have paused for 10 minutes, but they kept right on going just under somebody else's guidance. Bout's return to Russia changes nothing.

As far as I'm concerned the deal was made to bring home an American citizen. I'm fine with it.

@Ontheroad I'd still think the same. Griner tried to break the rules of a country she visited. That's not a nice thing to accept, but these are the facts. Pretending she is some angel that had to be rescued is just grasping for a preferred fiction, as is ignoring that the price of her freedom is the release of a mass murderer.
