All politicians aren't corrupt. A WHOLE lot commit their lives to public service because they care and want others lives to be better. They sure aren't in it for the money because they get paid shit. Ideologues are a different story.
And I don't think a "Special Master" would make a lick of freaking difference. If they come out and say everything's on the up and up, or come out against Barr or Cippolone, then that person gets destroyed for being a member of the Deep State. We're way past any kind of tethering to reality and truth.

The special master request is only to try to punch holes in the DOJ case, create delay, and for political grandstanding. I’d say the idea did not originate from Trump or his payday loan lawyers but from more intelligent but dishonest GOP personnel. However, this judge is looking for any loopholes to assist Trump, but not to do something totally illegal. For this type of case and charges, it’s not a regular practice to bring in a “Special Master” to put his filthy fingers all over everything.

@BackyardShaman Florida judge who appears to want to name a "Special Master? Trump appointee
Judge who approved FBI raid? Trump appointee.
Directory of the FBI? Trump appointee.
Let's talk more about the Deep State, huh?

I'm not sure what a Special Master would accomplish at this point in time. It is just a Hail Mary on Trump's part before more damaging information comes out. Keep an eye on the news over the next week or so. Republicans have largely stopped attacking the raid at Mar-a-Lago for some reason. That cannot mean good news for Trump if his ardent supporters are pulling back from him. Something is up......

Another indicator that Trump picked a bunch of dimwits for attorneys, and that Judge Cannon's first question should have been: is this necessary? Hopefully the DOJ's response will clarify it.

Maybe Trump will have his DOJ appoint one in a few years🤷🏻♀️

When you have a corrupt DOJ, a corrupt FBI, and corrupt state attorney generals, attorney client privilege and the 5th amendment are very important.
