I Hate Seeing Shootings Happen At Schools

I am a bit aghast at the people calling for the repeal of the 2nd amendment based on the school shooting in Florida. According to reports the law enforcement failed to act on at least 8 separate times when they were told that the shooter was a threat. Now if the law enforcement won't act on clear threats how would they ever enforce the gun ban following the repeal of the 2nd?

A repeal of the 2nd Amendment won't stop these attacks. If someone truly wants to commit this kind of atrocity, they will find a way. Not only that, there are other methods to inflict that amount of damage. There was a group of four guys in China that went on a rampage in 2014 with a knife and killed 29 people and injured another 130 people. There was also that incident in Nice, France where a man drove a truck into the crowd and killed 84 people without firing a shot. The Boston Bombings killed three people and injured about 264 people. The answer is not a repeal of the 2nd Amendment. However, firearm safety training, mental health checks, stronger background checks could help in creating a safer environment for children and adults alike.
