A lot of people talk about hanging all pedophiles and it's a hashtag. Obviously there's a reasonable explanation for why people feel so strongly. But what my question is is about is the pedophile who is attracted 2 underage persons but hasn't been caught or convicted. Perhaps there are people who can live like this and never break the law. But what are the chances that some sort of pornography or some kind of activity happens in their lifetime? Id think it likely. I don't know enough about what the future holds or how many people live like that and never do anything wrong. But my poll is what would you have done if anything to these people if you had ultimate control and there would be no backlash from your decision? If you answer 4 hanging them I list that as the death penalty option as it seems most appropriate. If you wouldn't care list in the comments why they would deserve the punishment. I suppose there wouldn't have to be reason but it would be wrong to not explain why they deserve the punishment. For example I have an explanation for it but I'm not going to to go into that here. I try to be objective as possible when dealing with anything

It's interesting. If someone has a seizure disorder that results in damage to property, embarrassment, use of 911 services and so on, we consider them brave strugglers against such a disruptive illness. But though pedophilia is listed as a mental health disorder and considered such by both the APA and AMA, we continue to discuss it through a moral lens. There's estimated to be a 25-50% recidivism rate, but zero discussion on how to help the half that re-offend.

Either way, there are options far short of murder to keep potential victims from harm.
