Chicago mass shootings was all over the news yesterday

Really sorry to learn this and i hope you and your loved one's are safe.

Learnt from the news that there have been 309 mass shootings alone in 2022. Can't imagine.

I really wonder why is this happening. As someone from the other side of the world it makes me curious and terrified. Hope all this ends !

If you look at statistics mass shootings are not the shootings to be worried about. Run of the mill criminal actions are more a threat to an individual. I do think we look at the wrong things in these mass shootings, we look for something that is an easy fix even if it won't work. The answer lies in the heads of the mostly deranged young people who do this. We have always had guns but not these shootings, you have to figure out what is really different. I think when you do you will find the fix is complex and not easy to implement. Growing up is very different now and feeds into this.

Crimo appears to have had an extensive online presence that was littered with signs of hatred, mental health issues and a gravitation toward hard-right and neo-fascist ideologies.

@SW-User I don't think it's just one thing . It's a combination of the rediculos lack of gun control,The stigma of mental health ,the lack of mental health services , the lack of understanding of mental health and the part it plays in all this , the crazy extremist mindset of gun culture in this country, the apathy in our government, the greed ,the corruption, it's all too much
