The truth of the matter is that to blame mental health for uvalde is to commit the fallacy of the singular cause.
Our Repeated mass shooting problem in the united state IS one of YES at least PARTIALLY explained by APPALLING access to mental health care but on the FLIP end of things to say that if we just fixed the mental health care system the shootings would stop is naive.
What keeps happening in these repeated crisis is explained by multiple contributing factors at LEAST two of which are lack of availabiltiy of mental health services AND easy access to fire arms. Any attempt to argue against this is basically saying 2+2=5. It's not SIMPLE. it's Complicated and I likely didn't even figure out ALL The contributing factors but those two are necessarily at least part of it.
