18 dead in Texas school mass shooting...your thoughts ? 😔 💔

Uvalde TX Elementary School. This is tragic. And what makes this so sad is that we as a society are becoming numb. Comfortably numb. There was yet another one of these [b]mass shootings [/b] in the US here.
An 18 year old with a gun. Same ole story same ole song. When is this crap gonna end ?
What can we do to stop this ? Answers please. Do you know. 🤔

We promote it in video games, song lyrics, movies, books etc.

And then expect people to NOT think its ok?

@LunarOrbit No...you would hear about it because it would be so uncommon...it would be news. Maybe not in the US where it seems such things happen regularly, but outside it would be.

There are no school shootings in Europe to nearly the extent there is in the US...if at all. It is exposed to the same video games, song lyrics, movies, books etc as the USA. The difference...stricter gun controls or no guns.

So why are shootings in the USA more common?

It's either the easier access to firearms in the USA, or if certain media is responsible as you say, Americans are less mentally capable of differentiating between fact and fiction, are easier to influence through entertainment media, and are unable to to judge what is morally, and criminally right or wrong. Which is it?

@romper69 Its a bit of everything. An 18 yr old shouldn’t have had the weapons he acquired. Yes, there needs to be better checks and balances as to who can and cannot have firearms. And there needs to be more secure facilities for our loved ones.
