So in light of several mass shootings in America over the weekend what do you think?

A constitutional amendment to the right to bear arms

Plenty of these ideas are good ones except an outright ban and a constitutional amendment. I don't think banning guns penalizing responsible legitimate gun owners too. And the current wording and historical context of the 2nd amendment is completely ignored so I don't see how a new one would matter.

@MasterLee Actually it is only considered separate because someone arbitrarily decided that centuries after the fact. It is not separate if one understands English grammar and if you actually read all the supporting historical record and don't pretend it is a religious text with no context that needs to be "interpreted." The current interpretation is basically a massive exercise in ret-coning to justify the current popular narrative popularized by the NRA hardly a neutral or even legal body.
