I Believe People Misunderstand Mental Illness

I do. I have 3 family members who deal with it (one passed away.) They are normal pretty much but can have bad times sadly and need help through those times. That being said to call a murderer mentally ill in these mass shooting incidents is wrong! It's attaching a bad stigma to mental illness and newsflash, anyone can become a murderer! There's plenty of examples of people who were thought to be normal in the past being a murderer throughout history! Plenty instances proven that road raged people have killed people even. Anger issues among many other circumstances can cause someone to murder another person and that's the truth! Stop the blame game is all I ask and be more knowledgeable about the subject. Not all mass shooters are mentally ill is my point! They could be seeking fame through the news or other media outlets like the murderer in the New Zealand shooting. That's a possibility in the world we live in nowadays.

@Summersrain agree and sadly I hate that it's being attached to every mass shooter! I honestly believe most aren't mentally ill and knew what they were doing with murderous intent!
