I agree with you that we need more gun control in the US, but when I mentioned on another post many months ago the new laws after the Port Arthur massacre, your fellow Australian, theoneyouwerewarnedabout said that there wasn’t much gun crime in Australia prior to the Port Arthur killings and showed me some stats that indicated that gun crime and shootings had actually somewhat increased since the new laws. What do you say to that?

@JP1119 That’s correct, Australia like most other countries around the world is experiencing more gun violence. We actually breached this subject at school and the findings of those who were committed these crimes was really interesting. Most of it is gang related and kept within the criminal world fortunately. I’ll leave it at that as the last time I mentioned gang violence here it started an argument 🤷♀️
The gun control measures here appears to have stopped those random lunatics from committing mass shootings. And if it wasn’t for that I believe there would have been shootings in schools here as well. As we tend to follow American trends here, for better or worse.
Sadly the trend of using a car to commit mass killings appears to have started here, an unfortunate claim to fame.
