@Pureblossom The CIA reports to he DNI (Director of National Intelligence), who in turn reports to the President, just like the Attorney General. The CIA and FBI are not supposed to interact directly, as the CIA has no direct role on US soil.

The CIA director is just a cop within the justice system. The AG is main Justice.
