Just a little FYI regarding the FBI raid

It is important to remember, the presidential records act –the presented pretext for the document conflict– is not a criminal statute. An FBI raid cannot be predicated on a document conflict between the National Archives and a former president.

You , nor anybody else , has the faintest idea what their warrant was predicated on. That will not be known even if the warrant is released.

@RodionRomanovitch According to early repost it was to retrieve documents. If they used the Presidential Records Act they acted illegally. Now please note that I never said what the pretext of the raid was. I simply pointed out that if it were this one it would be an illegal raid. Do try to read the facts and not suppose.

@hippyjoe1955 You're the one doing the supposing. As per usual.

@RodionRomanovitch Please re read "It is important to remember, the presidential records act –the presented pretext for the document conflict– is not a criminal statute. An FBI raid cannot be predicated on a document conflict between the National Archives and a former president". That is a factual statement. You have taken it to assume something I did not say.

@RodionRomanovitch Please point out where I ever said what the raide was predicated on. Get back to me when you find it. I was pointing out that the media given reason was false. Do try to use your head for more than a place to hang your face.
@hippyjoe1955 @RodionRomanovitch Guys. Here's some decent speculation on what statutes might be on the warrant:
It would list the crimes under investigation — according to public reports, probably 40 USC 2201-2209, 18 USC 2071, and 18 USC 793.
The last two are criminal statutes.

@hippyjoe1955 So what was the real reason then ?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@RodionRomanovitch Ultimately the reason was the destruction of Trump's political career. They are that desperate and Trump poses a real danger to those who would do him harm.

@hippyjoe1955 Trump is under investigation for violating the Espionage Act. The reason for the raid was to retrieve top secret materials likely to endanger national security. There was no reason whatsoever for him to have this stuff at his home.
