I’m conflicted as I have roots going back to both Italy and Ireland!

I was in Sicily to research this, and I'm sorry, but Sicily wins.

Irish definitely.
@Montanaman Catholic guilt is very violent.. So violent it's found in words.

Irish. The Italian mob did very little random violence against innocents.

@bowman81 the photos of blood running down the street, children and women and even donkeys... Sicily experienced total warfare. Guns.

@Roundandroundwego The IRA targeted schools, churches, businesses, government offices, as well as intra-Nicene warfare within its own ranks. No comparison.

@bowman81 similar to the blood baths I saw in photos. A whole church, a restaurant outdoors, a family, a priest and five nuns who were at a front door... It's probably a similar time in history - possibly even exactly the same years. Maybe there's a connection?

It depends on two important vectors:
A. Is the target English?
B. Did someone put pineapple on pizza?
