A city council man here is in jail. Used campaign funds to pay to have a tooth pulled and some other small thing. They did a crime check search and he has a warrant out in Colorado for domestic abuse. He seemed like a good city councilman compared to the rest, that’s the sad thing. Now he’s been arrested right before the election in which he was running for city council again.

@NativePortlander1970 they need to check every other of these SOBs on the city council that are destroying this city. At least he was trying to do things to help it. But he is outnumbered.
@cherokeepatti That's why every politician must be vetted with federal background checks before they officially run for public office.

@NativePortlander1970 People can do highly unethical things that aren’t illegal. They don’t have that on background checks.
@cherokeepatti You would actually be surprised what are on background checks, including breaches of ethics.
