the most horrific crime i heard about happened near me in old trafford back in 1997 one september night, a man in his 40s, an ex boxer, one night was on his way to the platford pub, near where he lived...when from out of the shadows of a nearby road, 4 men with huge knives appeared and tore into this man, hacked him to death, literally to pieces....police detectives would say that it was the most horrific violent crime they ever saw on the force.
to this day they never caught the men who did it, police said it had all the hallmarks of a gangland drugs execution, although the mans family said he had nothing to do with drugs or gangs....so to this day it remains a mystery who killed him.
