There is nothing productive about confining someone

Giving them a criminal record which doesn’t allows them to easily get a job

Putting them on probation that they may eventually violate if they don’t have the money to pay which will be difficult to come up with considering they can’t get a job because they have a record

So now It becomes a cycle. violating your probation, going to jail, not being able to get a job, and having an increasingly growing jail record which further prevents you from being able to find a job

Speaking for prison not jail. 64% of inmates return within 4 years of being released.

I’m not saying don’t throw people in jail but we have got to come up with a more effective system

I think the movie deadlock had a good idea....

Make prisoners & parolees wear an explosive collar that's linked to someone else (and they don't know who it is), if either tries to remove it or violates probation... boom, both lose their head... 🤔
