Would you ever act as witness to an execution ?

Even with no question that the convicted had committed an especially heinous crime ?
(If you are completely anti-death penalty under all circumstances, this question is obviously not directed at you)

I'd rather not but would if compelled for some reason. I don't think the death penalty is a universal evil, however it may be misapplied snd has been, so I guess I fall under the scope of your question.
