Have you ever thought the judicial system is kinda messed up?

I always thought regular folks as jurors may not be the best option. They aren't professionals, they didn't even ask to be up there. The judge (a professional) has no say so in final decisions? Sometimes attorneys can be aggressive and intimidating and sway the jury into a wrong decision. I just think the whole thing is messed up.
