@iamonfire696 the problem is that you aren't taking into account the rights of the unborn child. I think there are times when abortion is the right step to take even morally the right thing to do if the birth would hurt or kill either mother or child. But the problem for me is that most abortions come from situations that should have been avoided kids having under age sex as an example and then over reacting because of the stressful situation. That's (I think ) is the cause of the majority of abortions and if there was a safe environment for the girl that is pregnant and not chastised (which disgusting is still socially normal) then I think more often women would choose to carry for nine months for the life of the child. I have family members that got pregnant at a very young age and to think my nephews and nieces were never born physically hurts me on the inside.

And you are old enough and smart to take precautionary steps to ensure that you don't have to abort a fetus, so I don't worry about your judgement. But there are a lot of horrific stories about women going through dramatic and damaging means as a way to not have a child and that is the most important thing to stop not because it is morally wrong but because it is damaging to everyone involved. I'd happily support any, for lack of a better word, "institution" that took in girls/women into their facility and come out with the best solution. And the health of the pregnant person being the top priority even if it means an abortion.

When you can carry a baby that destroys your body your opinion will matter to me.

When you can be looked at and treated as just a vessel for birth that opinion will matter to me.

When you can use multiple forms of birth control and still get pregnant that opinion will matter to me.

When you can get pregnant and have an ectopic pregnancy that can kill you that opinion will matter to me.

When you can miscarry and then be worried you will be sent to jail because nature took its course then that opinion will hold some weight.

When you can place the rights of an embryo/fetus over me, that opinion doesn’t hold any weight with me.

When you go get a vasectomy to prevent your partner from getting pregnant that will show me you have taken this responsibility seriously.

If life starts at conception and a fetus that can’t live outside of a woman’s body until at least 24 weeks then you should start paying child support at the moment of conception because you know you are giving an unborn baby all of these rights.

When the right to carry a gun are more important than a woman’s right to choose and the fact that most people do not care about these babies after they are born. You don’t want to provide social programs to help these families and singje parents. You want to keep perpetuating the cycle of poverty because you do not care what happens to them after they are born.

When your right to choose what’s best for your body gets taken away then that opinion will matter to me.

Don’t you dare tell me what to do with my body or any other woman for that matter.

And everything vile thing that can happen to women can happen to men too and more just because it doesn't result in pregnancy doesn't mean you get to take the high ground.

Sorry you can’t get pregnant and die. You can’t have a C-section and lose half of your blood and almost die giving birth. That’s what happened to me so again don’t you dare tell me what I can do with [b]MY BODY[/b].

@Lostpoet I have a right to an abortion if I choose that for myself. My sister used an IUD and a condom and still got pregnant. She’s an alcoholic and I happily took her to get an abortion.

@Lostpoet it’s not a child at that point. Most abortions happen in the first trimester. If you are going to tout rights of an unborn fetus then you need to start paying child support at conception. I miscarried should I have to go to jail for that? Because there’s no difference between a miscarriage and an abortion. If I needed a D&C because I couldn’t pass my dead baby, should I not be able to have this? If my baby has no organs and cannot survive outside of me should I be made to go to term with a baby that’s going to suffer as soon as it’s born?

I'm talking about your personality I'd never want to be with someone that thinks they have a right to kill another person just because they have freedom of choice. As I have said many times there are times when abortion are necessary but getting pregnant after a drunk night with someone you don't like isn't a legit reason.

I wouldn’t choose abortion for myself but it’s not my right to tell any woman that they can’t have one. I made sure I couldn’t have children anymore so that wouldn’t happen.
