Tried as an an adult treated as an adult

It boggles the mind how states can try minors as adults in a court of law but bar them from the other rights and privileges that come with adulthood. For those in the comments of these stories arguing that the age of consent should be 18 and everything else should be illegal I ask, would you also agree that those between the ages of 14 to 17 who are charged with serious crimes as an adult be charged as minors and be sentenced in juvenile court where are the penalties are less severe? If your answers anything other then yes then you must agree that children of certain ages are capable of making informed adult decisions. Furthermore, those that claim or at least alluded to the fact that so many young people are being forced into legal marriages need to take a look at the law. Every state that allows marriage under 18 with parental consent bars the coercion of the individual by their parents to enter into such a union. If that is the case, then the parents can face legal action. I personally know of many people who I consider friends who got married younger than 18 and are still happily married with families. I don’t believe for one second without the proper data or studies that one could argue that people are being coerced into such unions on a large scale. If the two individuals can understand the nature of their actions and want to get married it should be supported
