GOP Sen. Collins said she'll vote 'no' on Todd Blanche's AG nomination

"Mr. Blanche has taken several actions that have further eroded the Department's independence, and that is the basis for my vote to oppose his confirmation."

“There are other Republican senators, including Bill Cassidy and Lisa Murkowski, who have raised concerns about Blanche. With Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell still absent from Congress, Blanche will ultimately only be able to lose the support of one other Republican when his nomination comes up for a vote on the Senate floor if he is to be confirmed.

I suspect she's pulling for Cassidy and Murkowski to get on board with Blanche so she doesn't have to. At this point, Collins is getting really annoying.
@MistyCee Actually, I strongly suspect Collins has tacit “permission” from Demented Donnie to be the one dissenting vote that Republicans can spare as a concession thinking it may get her re-elected in Maine (like there’s a snowballs chance in hell of that!)

It’s extremely troubling that Tillis and Coryn are pretending to be convinced that TOAD’s “meeting” with the Epstein survivors where he didn’t even listen to them and was outright confrontational was actually acceptable or that his weak written statements (one of which was completely unsigned) were promises to kill the J6 rioters slush fund and the get-out-of-jail free card for Demented Donnie and his progeny for good. Especially with Demented Donnie openly saying he’s going to re-submit both after the midterms anyway.

None of the Republicans seem at all bothered by the multiple ethics charges TOAD will be facing (including the FRAUD UPON THE COURT charge), the malicious and vindictive prosecutions Demented Donnie is demanding and receiving against his perceived enemies, his continuing to be Demented Donnie’s personal lawyer (which is NOT what the Attorney General is supposed to be), or his intentional obstruction and covering up of the Epstein files. Never mind the legitimate cases that Demented Donnie’s DO(in)J is ignoring to pursue all his frivolous nonsense instead (like the bogus Reflecting Pool).

They KNOW and DO NOT CARE THAT THEY WILL BE VOTING TO CONFIRM A TOTALLY CORRUPT LAWYER for the office of the United States Attorney General!

At least we can take solace in the likelihood that he will soon be disbarred.
@MistyCee I have always found her annoying…
