NYPD is investigating an incident at Federal Plaza. Video showed officers appearing to apprehend a person on the ground. A motive is unclear at this time. Officials say a person has been taken into custody.
FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X: "This morning an individual deployed an incendiary device outside of 26 Federal Plaza in New York. The individual is in custody and two minor injuries reported thus far. FBI JTTF is investigating the incident. @NewYorkFBI"
