my wife was in a nursing home she recently passed, i made sure i was there every day, and relitives every day to, was okay where she was, and some aides are very nice and some hide, don't clean residents, it's a place that sucks, some residents walk around hurt other people, very strange laws and rules, my wife had 2 very great aides, i love them 2 girls, the best,
@idontcareok I am sorry for your loss. But it was wonderful those girls were there helping. You are blessed to have them. And yes patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s will sometimes attack others. I had an aunt who was the sweetest lady until the latter stages of Altzheimers. She went into the hospital and ended up pushing her roommate out of bed and it broke her arm. That’s when the doctor decided my aunt needed to have around-the-clock help and she went into a nursing care facility. She was not sleeping at night and up and active when it happened.
@cherokeepatti That's how they should be. People in nursing homes are often lonely, vulnerable, confused, and scared. They deserve to be cared for and comforted.
