Such a nonsense this whole thing.
Even if Trump's idea was just to get the January 6th 'faithful' marching peacefully to a different location where he might have hoped there would be sufficient security to direct them and disperse them peacefully, soon after arrival, he either KNEW some would cause physical damage to property and potentially people - in which case it was clearly an attempt at insurrection.
Or he had completely NO idea that violence and assault on the innocent was POSSIBLE in which case he was IRRESPONSIBLE !
Can't have it both ways.
Suppose the security at the Capital building had SHOT at those protesters !
And this idea that you can't charge either a SERVING President with a crime or a FORMER President with same is just a signal that you can get away with anything if you throw enough bodies between you and a grand jury.
