If you could change one thing about the criminal justice system, what would it be?

I'm no lawyer or nuthin but this "guilt by association" thing kind of bugs me. I've had a lot of crazy friends throughout my life that while I'm just standing there drinking a Dr Pepper or something they'll haul off and do something random crazy out of the blue... like why would any of this be my fault?
