I think I agree with you on this. Logic is king. Emotions are nothing but a self serving billboard to attempt to influence the outcome in ones own favor.
Unfortunately, there are a LOT of corrupt judges out there who are ignoring the law in order to conform to the prevailing beliefs of the political party which appointed them.
