@Crazywaterspring I think Garland didn’t want even the possibility, no matter how remote, of anyone ever accusing him of weaponizing the Department of Justice despite to violent insurrection that tRUMP and many of the elected Republicans incited.

Who can say? In a less polarized and more civil environment that might have turned out to be the right call.

His biggest mistake was underestimating the corrupt and vile MAGAs.
