Will the progress that Trump has made on crime continue if the demographic that does the crime is still in the cities?

Lets face it - in DC, it is illegals and blacks that do most of the crime. DC is only about 38% white. It is black criminals that are terrifying the areas that are mostly black - that is why all of the protestors in DC are whites that live in the more affluent areas. They are not touched by the crime like thre black residents. I moved there in the 80s (the Marion Barry hey-daze) and it has always been that way. It is one of the most segregated cities in the country.
The crime in cities like NYC, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Cleveland, Miami, Atlanta persist because it doesnt matter if they are in a red or blue state, the demographics concentrate on the cities where they always overcrowd and ransack them.
