600 false arrests made in TN had TN introducing a new law concerning DUIs

600 victims from between 2017 - 2024 were wrongly arrested over DUIs, they passed the field sobriety tests and tested negative for substances. They were all sober and slapped with a DUI anyways. Officers cited red eyes and slurred speech as probable cause in their arrests. But I mean as you know people get nervous and others are tired, I've had red eyes before after working double shifts. This is why I avoid cops because that's crazy.

The new bill requires sober DUI arrests in the state to be listed each year by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, including the law enforcement agency involved.

We disagree on a lot of stuff but having been in law enforcement I never charged somebody that didn't blow at the sheriff's department above the legal limit. And I guarantee you if I ever got pulled over and they wanted to give me a field sobriety test I will refuse I will tell them that they can take me to the hospital and they can draw blood from an independent third-party source. Because if they don't have your consent on a field sobriety test it's his word against yours and when that blood test comes back 0.00 that police officers credibility is on the line. I would also throw out the fact that you know I've had surgery before so I don't have good balance under any circumstance.

@dale74 I'm glad you never chose to do that to someone. It makes me wonder why they do that to someone and why can't they just do what's right. If they're sober, they're sober. Trying to force them to be drunk by lying that they're not sober just so one has someone to arrest is psychotic 🥴

@dale74 That's like Stephen King's Misery where the lady ties that guy to the bed and breaks his limbs off to keep him there, "you're going to stay no matter what. "

@SatanBurger no I saw stuff I disagreed with when I spoke up was black listed so left. People commiting the excessive force were over me.
