Justice Thomas Filed His Belated Annual Financial Report. He "Inadvertently Omitted" Food and Lodging for Trips to Bali and California

He also didn't bother to report flying on Harlan Crow's personal jet for free, or spending time on Crow's yacht. He also "inadvertently omitted" reporting frequent trips on private jets and food and lodging for more than 20 years, getting money for his "son's" education, accepting real estate and other gifts from benefactors with business before the Court, and having his mother's loans paid off. He also "inadvertently omitted" receiving a $300,000 RV and/or having the loan for it paid off. How sad it is that Thomas has developed such a poor memory in his old age that he "Inadvertently omits" millions of dollars in "gifts". Perhaps the former low-IQ VP under George H. W. Bush, Dan Quayle, said it best: "What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is." Let us pray for Thomas that he may recover his memory in his continued "service" on the Court.

Lower court judges have been impeached for a lot less, albeit before the Trump era.

Of course, that wont happen with MAGA folks in the Senate.

I wonder, though, if we've ever had a SCOTUS justice disbarred in any jurisdiction before.

@MistyCee I don't believe any SCOTUS justices have been disbarred. However, Associate Justice Samuel Chase was impeached and acquitted in 1805. There were several attempts to impeach Justice William O. Douglas, but both failed. Justice Abe Fortas accepted a $20,000 retainer from a foundation of a Wall Street financier in the 1960s. Fortas was being investigated and was likely to be impeached at the same time the second Douglas impeachment attempt was ongoing, and he ended up resigning.

Thomas has accepted bribes.......err, "gifts" from Crow and others, totaling millions of dollars, but he believes himself above the law. While even someone like Fortas, who resigned in disgrace, recused himself from cases involving a conflict of interest, Thomas refuses to do so. He has no shame nor bridge he won't cross to enrich himself.
