GOP senators warn judge against sentencing Trump to prison BY ALEXANDER BOLTON 06/04/24 06:00 AM ET

The Hill reports that several GOP
Senate Republicans are warning New York Judge Juan Merchan not to sentence former President Trump to prison or house arrest or take any other action that could disrupt the likely GOP nominee’s ability to campaign ahead of the November election.

So these Trump Senators a 'warning a judge' how to rule on a person convicted of 34 counts?

Why should Trump get special treatment?
Michael Cohen was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a large fine. He was sentenced in Dec. 2018 and arrived at the prison in NY in May 2019.

Based upon that, Trump should report to prison in Dec 2024.

Nobody is above the law. The law should be applied equally to all.

So what law did Trump break. Please be specific because the court was not specific.

@hippyjoe1955 I'd love to hear the answer to that question too.

Read the Times article by Barbara McQuaid, poster on SW for your reading pleasure.

@JSul3 Why would anyone trust the Times article? Serious question. I have heard from many sources that there was no crime enunciated by the court.
@hippyjoe1955 he doesn't want to have to admit that they cobbled together a bookkeeping misdemeanor beyond the statute of limitations into felonies.

@BizSuitStacy Given the fact that Trump does not keep his own books......

@JSul3 And the 'judge' is a judge too. I see the judge is now backpedalling and about to blame the jury before he gets disbarred for judicial malpractice. Oh and BTW your expert is not to be believed at face value. like the judge and jury she may well be suffering from TDS.
