Thoughts and Prayers Break Out in Lewiston Maine

No word on whether the gun used is OK, as the suspect is still at large. But mass killing apologists are already asking whether we should outlaw knives and cars, since they kill people too.

Some things never change.

My issue is that they say "guns don't kill, people do" and then say we need to focus more on mental health, and then don't do anything about keeping guns away from a guy with more red flags than the chinese army.

If you want to focus on mental health and not guns - DO IT. If not, either admit you are okay with the status quo, or do something to limit guns.
@trollslayer And with the expense of healthcare, the same lawmakers are making mental health treatment less available and affordable.

@bijouxbroussard This is where I diverge from the GOP of the last 20 years. I certainly understand the philosophy of wanting more freedoms over more control. But, the GOP of today fails to recognize the big picture and/or claim that issues don't exist. There *is* a gun violence problem in the USA - but the GOP of today refuses to acknowledge that. Same goes with health care. That is one area where having government control would GREATLY open up freedoms for most Americans.
