Canada's law, which went into effect in 2016, closely mirrors Washington State's "Death with Dignity" law, that took effect 8 years earlier.
I don't know who Kenneth Law is, but the Washington State Law, allows assisted suicide, only with a clear medical opinion, that the applicant has a medical condition that will kill them, at some point in the not too distant future.
