Nah, I'd do my own shifts
Yeah, he can take my evenings and weekends and I'll take his day shifts.

At a place I worked, a care home, there was a guy out of prison that got a job there.

He had to be on his best behaviour as if he lost it he would go back to the dole and maybe back inside, as he was serving a 3 year sentence at that time, but got out on licence after 18 months!

Question is if you knew that and knew he could not answer back, if he had been a bit of a prick to you at the start would you then ask him to do all your awful shifts, like evening or weekends? Cause if he sent you home in tears the first few weeks, then you found out a bit about him, would you be like, ha! Well mate, you ain't getting the better of me.

The stigma surrounding offenders is already big enough and I wouldn’t exploit that.
The way the prison system works it is already hard enough for them to get back into society. Be understanding.

@Wol62 Regardless if the person is an excon or not, their is a course of action to handle such people.

@Wol62 In that case there needs to be a dialouge if that doesn't work the course of action needs to be taken. If this would result in him going back to prison it only shows how broken the prison system is

@Starcrossed Well that womans friend at work, complained, he got sacked and put back into prison to complete his sentence.

You know I have to tell all my employers I’m a felon with drug convictions and a lot of them treat me like shit.. especially when my convictions trickle down to my supervisors .. but prison does make you hard .. you have no time for bullshit .. that’s why I’m a fly under the radar person now .. do my job . Do what people ask of me .. and shut the fuck up .. it’s hard but I need this job lol
chrisCA · M
@SW-User I wish you the best of luck.
i mean....... you could be the reason he goes back to prison. but, eventually, he is going to get out again. he probably wont forget that shit. if you get my drift. LOL
