Wiembilla shooting 300 km (3 hours drive) west of Brisbane.
This happened last week but the reason I’m commenting on it is that I have seen some disgusting misinformation posted on this site.
Yes, there was a shooting.
No it wasn’t the result of a police hit squad.
The initial shooting by two men and a woman on 4 unarmed police officers who had arrived at the property on a routine check of an Australian man who had been reported as missing.
4 police officers had arrived on site to do some routine door knocking and ask if anyone knew of the missing man’s whereabouts.
In the process of approaching the house they were gunned down by two men in full camo gear who had set up an ambush.
Two officers were killed. One wounded and one managed to escape and call for back up which resulted in Armed Police driving 300 km from Brisbane (3 hrs away) to the property.
By the end of the confrontation, the 3 residents of the property were dead.
