People want to expand immunity for police.
They already have plenty of immunity, that's the main issue. Even if you ignored all the other issues of law enforcement, the number one issue is too much immunity. I understand police get in sticky situations but I'm not talking about those. Too much immunity equals too much power and absolute power corrupts absolutely. There's some things officers have done that we as civilians can't do. Heck, there's been some politicians doing things that if any of us did that, we'd be in prison for sure. How is this supposed to work without any accountability?
The people pushing for even more immunity are clearly biased and should be called into question, they have cops in their family and their experiences are colored only with the best of the best instead of seeing the worse. This makes a clear and present bias. I think activists should be treated like jury members, they should excuse themselves if found biased enough not to give a fair trial.
