No more cash bail?

Illinois becomes the first state to eliminate cash bail. Imagine, violent crimes, burglary, robbery, arson, kidnapping, almost all drug offenses, DUI offenses, even DUI offenses involving a fatality, do not qualify for detention under the Illinois Safety Act.

What could go wrong?

Life is cheap in Chicago and that city pretty much dictates law for the rest of the state. This is just another way for the state to grant more for the irresponsible and the criminal.
