Do you enjoy watching court trials?

Right now, I’ve been busy watching the Nickolas Cruz trial, it’s not surprising how during interrogation he tried to act mentally insane so he wouldn’t go to prison. He knew exactly what he was doing, downloading the bell schedule, possibly looking for a ride as to not get caught, etc. Aside from that, each family’s testimony on what they go through each day having loss their son/daughter is heartbreaking.

I have a perverse fascination with watching inmates receive death sentences.

@BlueVeins The fact that most of them have a blank stare is chilling.

@SW-User Honestly, doesn't weird me out at all. Basically all of these people already knew they were never getting out of prison alive and the litigation process for the death penalty is so long that they'd all have considered this possibility at length. Some probably understand the horror of what they did and want to take the punishment on the chin. Some probably don't process their emotions right away. IDK, I'm always unphased by these reactions because the situation is so extreme that basically any reaction seems kind of reasonable. And it seems like no matter how they act during sentencing, it's taken as some kind of sign that they have a dark heart using some post-hoc rationalization. Guess I don't mind people doing that if it's satisfying, but it just feels contrived to me.
