Why didn't Thomas mention Loving vs Va as a substantive due process case that should be overruled?

I think I know the answer, obviously, but can anyone give me a less cynical one?

Loving involved interracial marriage. Because Thomas is in one, he would obviously exempt himself from negative impacts of his decisions.
