Interesting theory, but it doesn't make sense.
1) Sweden and Finland, while not officially part of NATO, have already been working with joint NATO training mission practice for decades. They've basically been unofficial members, making them official members doesn't change much, and it looks like Turkey is going to block them from becoming official members. So absolutely nothing seems to be changing on that front.
2) I don't think anyone knew for sure that Russia's army would end up looking so weak. I think people truely thought Ukraine would be losing half to all of their country... and so far, while extremely damage is happening... it seems like Russia is going more backwards as of late.
3) Did USA influence Ukraine? I feel like Ukraine wanted to be a part of the EU more than USA...
