I'm not saying unschooling is for every child out there but Being autistc I can tell you we needed structure but not so much of it that we end up wanting to hurt the person providing it.
If dad had approached me at 13 and told me I know how hard this is for you so if you agree to stay consistent in studying the things you're personally interested in I will say that you're a home schooled child I would have jumped.
and at 13 I had copies of learn C in 21 days was interested in programming and very shortly after Japanese.
if only somebody had given me a reason to stay on course instead of blowing on video games.. I would be proficient in many programming languages and also languages.... I woul be a polyglot coder- and twenty years before.
