how come a lot of young people now don't know English grammar

What are they being taught in schools now? is the English language even taught now? i just notice with a lot of posts online from the young generation, they don't use correct grammar, punctuation, don't know how to spell, basic simple words even, full stops etc seems to have all gone out the window? and as an English person i find it annoying.

i mean in my case, i dropped out of education because of other problems at the time, had learning disabilities to contend with, but even i have great spelling considering, use English grammar quite well, use the English language well, considering the problems i had long ago, and i pride myself on that, because i think English grammar, using it correctly, spelling etc, is important.

and when i see these ridiculous posts by the young generation now, i feel offended. Also the way they commonly shorten words now instead of writing the full word, so for eg, instead of writing ' to be honest ' - i'll see instead 'tbh' or instead of ' i don't know' i see 'idk'? i find that one really annoying.

is the English language being abandoned by this young generation or are they being told to discard it?

also i've made some grammatical mistakes in this post, but considering my learning disabilities, i do bloody well.

I blame cell phones, the Internet, artificial intelligence, and shortcomings in the education system — together, they've contributed to a dumbing down of society in the world.
