To the users who write long posts venting/advice

Im not a grammar nazi, but you need to try use paragraphs if you can.

Its really hard to read and digest otherwise.

Sort of agree, yet everyone is different. I do break things down into paragraphs myself. Most especially on my own long posts.

It's hard enough to get anyone to read a 17,459 character post when few write more than a hundred if that.

Also helps to use the page formating options on long posts.

@DeWayfarer Poor sentence structure, and a lack of punctuation is not being different. It is tedious to read.

@chrisCA That's taking it a bit far though. Like the OP mention: "Im not a grammar nazi".

I am not either. And for many English is their second language or they barely graduated highschool.

@DeWayfarer I am considerate to those whose English is not their second language. Many times, their language skills are better than native English speakers. Most of of my English, Grammar, and Spelling lessons were well before high school.

@chrisCA I am not perfect and I have some college behind me!

I surely will not ... "caste the first stone"!

Often though I do go back and correct things. Sometimes years later.

@DeWayfarer I will edit my posts when I see mistakes. I am not a Literature genius myself, but I take pride in what I do.

@chrisCA where I take the point of view of: was their message clear enough to understand most of it.

Often meanings are understood through context. Or simple cultural misconceptions.

Pride has little to do with attempts at understanding. Intent is often clearer than precision. It's like seeing the forest from the trees.
