@Pretzel I see. I agree with you there, they are alike, we certainly share our struggles with one another when burdened by an accent.
When I first began learning english I prounced all words starting in "th" as z and to this day I cant pronounce three without making it either sound like tree, free or z-ree

@Fyolaislovechild just remember - your English is better than our Romanian.
I admire people for learing English - not just the words but the expressions we have. They make sense to us.
And it varies by country (the expressions) I can't understand a lot of expression on English TV - I have to google it for an explanation.
