Have you ever misunderstood someone's accent?

I felt bad for her because I could tell she was losing patience lmao.

There was live music playing and we were waiting on someone else to come. She leans into my ear to shout "I'm gonna let sex in"

I'm like who?

So she repeats it but louder this time "SEX"

I look at her and respond with the same volume, "SEX??"

she shakes her head and said "NO NOT SEX, SEEEEX"

I laughed because her emphasising the word didn't really help me understand any better.

She tells me she'll be back and then walks in with a mutual friend we met. His name is zac and that's when I was like OHHH, you were gonna let ZAC in. I'm sorry, I couldn't make out what you saying.

I blamed it on the music but girl, I heard you clearly. I just couldn't understand why you were shouting sex in my ear.

Yes some accidents are tough, also certain pitches for my ears... my ears don't understand those women with naturally extremely high pitches, especially when their is background noise...

This really sucked when one was a co-worker at warehouse, where we always had machines running.

Half the time I couldn't understand her, between her high pitch and the machine background, and she was also French so she had an accent as well, though I don't think that was as much the issue.
@Viper saaame, except its low tones for me

@HijabaDabbaDoo Well let me know if my voice is getting too low for you, and I'll try to change it up a bit
