English used to have some wonderful words for marking time, that have sadly been lost (to time)

Along with fortnight (fourteen nights), it also had:

Sennight (seven nights) or one week.

Yestreen meant yesterday evening

Ere-yesterday was the day before yesterday

And overmorrow was the day after tomorrow.
