Arithemetically rounding the total payment up to the nearest Pound.
E.g. £10.00 when the real total is £9.87.
She's referring to a practice that has crept into some restaurants and shops of trying to persuade you to pay a rounded-up price, with the difference going to some charity or other, at the press of "Yes" on the bank-card reader.
It's rather insidious, a lot more manipulative than old trick of placing a charity coin-collecting box next to the till.
